UNDERWATER LIVE CAMERA AT RACE ROCKS

September 27, 2011: We have installed an underwater camera at Race Rocks.
You can access it here in daylight hours.
The camera is located in 12 metres of water on the north side of Great Race Rock.

Please close the camera page browser when you are not actively using it so that others may be able to get improved bandwidth for reception. We have to send the signal off island by our microwave link, so bandwidth and therefore image speed is limited.
NOTE, Windows users: :This link -gives smoother video stream and uses less bandwidth.
That is because under this URL camera streams in native MxPEG format which is more efficient than standard Motion JPEG.
Unfortunately this feature is only supported in Internet Explorer browser version 6+

Directions for enabling the PTZ( Pan Tilt Zoom) Function:

On screen controls are only visible on Panorama, Panorama/Focus and Double Panorama views. Click on the small arrow in the upper left hand corner of the view when in one of those modes, then use the icon controls.

They are not visible in Full Image, Normal and Surround but you can move camera and focus by clicking on image and zoom in/out by using zoom buttons on the left. Also you can centre the image by clicking the cross hair on a location.
