In the Marine Science Centre at Race Rocks, Sorenson Broadcaster software runs 24 hours a day and is responsible for the Live Streaming Video on all of the videocam pages, as well as carrying the Hydrophone audio on camera 2.

Hana and Hugo run a Live webcast with Sorenson Broadcaster while Garry demonstrates the features of the sea cucumber, Parastichopus californicus
On the G3 PowerBook 500, Sorenson Broadcaster can be taken for wireless broadcasts anywhere on the island of Great Race Rocks, and out in the boat up to 1000 meters distance. The laptop computer contains an AirPort card which sends the webcast signal wirelessly to the AirPort Base station.
We are grateful to Sorenson Media for the recent contribution to racerocks.com of several copies of the Sorenson Video Developer 2.2 software. We are using this to upgrade the quality on existing Archived Videos and in the production of new archived video.
