Aglaophenia latirostris . This featherlike hydroid is common, mostly subtidal , RaceRocks and Swordfish Island. Natural size to 5 cm. Aglaophenia inconspicua with corbulae. corbulae are modified branches of the colony, which form a protective "basket" around the gonads. Growing on algae and together with a Campanularia, another thecate hydroid. Race Rocks, low intertidal.
