On January 11, 2006 the work commenced on installation of the piling. The first stage was the deployment of anchors for the installation of the template for drilling for the piling by the Divers from CANPAC. The following pictures were captured from the remote Camera 5. Working there in January is probably at the most difficult time of year for weather prediction.

Day 1: Sealions are still on the islands at this time of the year, although the numerous storms of late have thinned their numbers. Second Nature from Pearson College guides the tugboat and barge to its location. The barge lays out some of the anchor blocks with the crane.

The dive tender holds the air feed line while the diver is underwater. Preparing to return to Pedder Bay, after several dives. The next phase will be done when weather conditions improve.
