The Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation
In May of 1999 this Foundation gave Lester B. Pearson College $5,000 for the Race Rocks Marine Education Program. With these funds, equipment for DNA analysis of tissue samples, equipment for environmental sensors and an underwater housing and camera equipment were purchased. We continue to use this equipment in the racerocks.com project also. |

The Johan Ashuvud Memorial Fund:
Each year, money generated by this trust fund goes to support Pearson College student and alumni projects at Race Rocks. In June 2001, students Damien Guihen and Jean Olivier Dalphond spent several weeks at Race Rocks, doing webcasts, and producing QuickTime Virtual Reality and QuickTime Videos for the archives of racerocks.com. In June 2002, one alumnus and three students are running a varied program of webcasting and research for two weeks. |
