Codium fragile(Suringar) Hariot
Description: This plant is dark green in colour, erect, up to 40 cm. high, dichotomously branched, with several orders of cylindrical branches, 3-10 mm. in diameter. It arises from a broad, spongy basal disk.
Habitat: Growing attached to rocks in the middle and lower intertidal zones and upper subtidal zone; common in large tide pools.
Pacific Coast Distribution: Alaska to Mexico.
