CORRELATIONS FILE: This file of raw data is being set up with regular additions that have been selected to show seasonal patterns and to allow some study of the relationships between the three factors of solar radiation, uv radiation and temperature
Objectives: After doing this assignment, you will be able to:
2. Analyze the correlation between the factors presented..
Procedure:
1.Transfer the data to a spreadsheet and then produce a graph which plots the three factors: uv, level of solar radiation, and temperature for the different days with data available. You may wish to eliminate the samples taken earlier in the day as they may not reflect the maximum levels reached for the day.
2. Use the statistics function of the spreadsheet progam to determine whether there is a correlation between any of the pairs of factors. Determine if this varies during the different seasons of the year.
3. Add to your samples the current days measurements by going to the Weather Page:
Note: The upper line in each graph represents the highest level for that particular day. The color bar represents that level when the graph was captured from the screen. That time is also given in the graph legends.
Also, be sure to note that the scales of the graphs adjust automatically depending on the range of the factor being measured.
